Electrical Design Engineer – HYBRID ROLE
Location: Clearwater, FL | Schedule: Full-Time, Hybrid
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to develop electrical designs and construction documentation for commercial, residential, industrial, medical, retail, and specialty building projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design electrical power distribution, lighting, and building electrical systems.
- Prepare load calculations, panel schedules, one-line diagrams, and electrical layouts.
- Develop and coordinate electrical drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- Review plans, specifications, and applicable electrical codes for compliance.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, project managers, and other consultants.
- Participate in site visits and assist with construction-related design issues.
- Support projects from initial concept and design through construction.
- Contribute to design standards and emerging technologies such as solar and home automation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience designing electrical systems for commercial, residential, industrial, or similar buildings.
- Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, power distribution, and applicable codes.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- EIT or PE is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
