This opportunity supports mission-critical IT service delivery within a secure Department of War (DoW) environment. In this role, you will provide advanced end-user support while supporting coordination, reporting, and operational execution within a small, high-performing team.
About the Roles
We are hiring fortwo distinct roles under a singleposting:
- Physical Security Network Engineer (Tier 3)
- Physical Security System Administrator (Tier 2)
Both positions supportElectronic Security Systems
(ESS), LENEL platforms, and secure network infrastructurein amission-critical DoW environment.
These are full-time, onsite roles.
Role 1: Physical Security Network Engineer (Tier 3)
What You’ll Do
- Leadnetwork engineering, design, and lifecycle managementfor ESS/LENEL infrastructure
- ProvideTier 3 support, solving complex or unknown issues
- Configure and managenetwork security hardware and infrastructure
- Implementproactive monitoring (FCAPS)and performance optimization
- Design and validatesolutions to critical system failures
- SupportSIEM tuning, threat detection, and incident response
Ideal Background
- Strong experience innetwork engineering (routing, switching, firewalls)
- Experience inTier 3 escalation environments
- Deep understanding ofsecure/DoW network environments
Role 2: Physical Security System Administrator (Tier 2)
What You’ll Do
- Operate and administerLENEL and ESS systems
- ProvideTier 2 support, troubleshooting escalated issues from Tier 1
- ManageActive Directory, DNS, DHCP, and system services
- Performpatching, STIG compliance, and system maintenance
- Supportbackup, storage (SAN), and virtualization environments
- Monitor systems, analyze logs, and resolve incidents
Ideal Background
- Strong experience insystem administration and enterprise IT support
- Experience inTier 2 troubleshooting and operations
- Familiarity withsecure or regulated environments
Shared Responsibilities (Both Roles)
- SupportESS and CCTV infrastructure, including integration and troubleshooting
- Maintainlog management and SIEM operations(monitoring, tuning, response)
- Conductvulnerability scans and recommend remediation actions
- Supportbackup and recovery operations, including testing
- Deliversystem health and performance reporting
- Participate inon-call rotation (2-hour response requirement)
- Supportafter-hours, weekend, and holiday operations as required
- Assist withphysical security systems and infrastructure support
- Providetechnical recommendations and system improvement guidance
Required Qualifications (Both Roles)
Certifications (Required)
- CompTIA Security+(Security+) or equivalent (DoD 8570/8140 compliant)
- Cisco Certified Network Associate(CCNA) or equivalent
Clearance
- ActiveTop Secret (TS/SCI)clearance (required)
Experience Requirements
- Network Engineer:5+ years (Tier 3 / engineering focus)
- System Administrator:3+ years (Tier 2 / operations focus)
- Experience inDoW, classified, or high-security environments preferred
Preferred Experience
- LENEL access control systems
- SolarWinds, NetApp, VxRail, Thales, Quest
- CMMC, NIST 800-171, RMF frameworks
- Physical security systems (ESS, CCTV, access control)
