Community Health Worker
Rural Border Intervention (RBI) Program (Maverick County)
Seeking highly motivated and responsible individual that wants to work in the field of drug prevention and intervention.
Founded in 1982, in Laredo, Texas, SCAN is a leading provider of social services in South Texas. SCAN's Rural Border Intervention Program provides integrated prevention and intervention services and facilitates access to behavioral health services for youth (13-17) and adults (18+) who are at-risk of developing substance use disorders.
Primary Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
An associate's degree (or at least 60 hours of college/university credits) or a bachelor's degree in the behavioral sciences or closely related field are required.
Prior drug prevention or intervention experience with youth or adults is preferred.
Good bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are required.
A valid TX driver's license, insurance, and reliable transportation are required.
Work Schedule and Compensation:
The flexible work schedule is 7:30 a.m.-8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Salary: $17-$18 per hour depending on qualifications.
