Security Officer -Split schedule (read description)

Full Throttle Security Corp. is seeking a Security Officer to help maintain a safe and secure environment in Oviedo, FL.

The Security Officer is responsible for monitoring assigned areas, deterring and detecting security threats, and responding appropriately to incidents and unusual activity. This role plays a key part in protecting people, property, and business operations by following established security procedures and maintaining a visible, professional presence.

This is a full-time, onsite position based in Oviedo, FL, where you will support day-to-day security coverage through vigilant observation, clear communication, and timely documentation.

• Monitor and patrol assigned facilities and perimeters to identify security risks and irregular activity.

• Respond to security incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance according to established procedures.

• Maintain accurate records of observations, incidents, and actions taken during each shift.

• Verify access and ensure proper entry/exit procedures are followed for staff, visitors, and authorized personnel.

• Provide excellent customer service while remaining calm, professional, and solution-focused in high-visibility situations.

• Check fire alarm systems

• Making sure ALL doors are secure

• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods while maintaining alertness throughout the shift.

• Strong observation skills and attention to detail when monitoring assigned areas.

• Ability to follow written procedures and communicate clearly with supervisors and team members.

• Professional demeanor and reliability in reporting for scheduled onsite shifts.

• Basic computer literacy for completing required logs and documentation.

• Must have valid driver's license

• Must have valid Florida state Class D security license

• Prior security, law enforcement, or related experience.

• Familiarity with incident reporting and basic security operations in a controlled environment.

• Training or experience in de-escalation and conflict management.

• Experience working effectively with minimal supervision while maintaining consistent standards.

Hourly rate: $16.00

Sun, Mon 7a-3p/Tues, Wed, Thurs 3p-11p
