Position Overview
As a Plumbing Assistant, you will work alongside Lead Plumbers on residential and/or commercial service calls. You’ll help prepare job sites, handle materials and tools, and perform basic plumbing tasks under supervision while learning industryapproved techniques, safety standards, and customer service best practices.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Assist Lead Plumbers with the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems
- Load, transport, and organize tools, equipment, and job materials
- Prepare, maintain, and clean job sites before, during, and after service work
- Perform basic plumbing tasks under supervision, such as cutting pipe, assembling fittings, and fixture removal/installation
- Use hand and power tools safely and properly
- Follow all company safety policies, OSHA guidelines, and jobsite procedures
- Support technicians in delivering professional, courteous service to customers
Competencies for Success
- High school diploma or GED required
- Successful completion of preemployment screening
- Physically able to perform job duties, including lifting up to50 lbs, bending, standing, and working in various environments
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
- Willingness to learn the plumbing trade and develop new technical skills
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Basic problemsolving skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
