Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse by managing inventory, handling materials, and supporting the overall distribution process. This position requires a strong attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate various warehouse equipment safely and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Manage inventory control processes to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Operate heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks for loading and unloading goods.
- Perform picking and packing duties to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking inventory movements.
- Assist in shipping and receiving operations, ensuring all materials are properly documented.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment such as cranes and other heavy machinery to ensure safe operation.
- Participate in training on warehouse management best practices, including packaging techniques and order fulfillment processes.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes.
- Knowledge of materials handling techniques and mechanical systems is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for effective stocking and inventory control.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Experience in manufacturing or construction environments is a plus.
