Job Type: Local contract
Contract Length: 3 Months +
Pay Range: $19.85to $21.26 /hour*
*Pay offered is based on experience,expertise, credentialing, and education. Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily patient service and laboratory support activities accurately and within established timelines.
- Perform venipuncture and specimen collection, including pediatric and geriatric patients.
- Prepare, label, process, and handle specimens according to established procedures.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment.
- Complete all required records, documentation, and data entry accurately.
- Provide excellent customer service and create a positive patient experience.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and protect sensitive health information.
- Demonstrate professionalism and a positive image when interacting with patients, clients, employees, and the public.
- Work independently while following established practices and procedures.
- Support operational needs and demonstrate flexibility based on staffing requirements.
Job Requirements
- Ability to produce high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
- Strong phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Flexible availability based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime when required.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent – Required
- Medical Assistant or Paramedic training – Preferred
- Phlebotomy certification – Preferred
- Phlebotomy certification is required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Work Experience
- Minimum 6 months of relevant experience – Required
- 1+ year of phlebotomy experience – Preferred
- Previous customer service experience in a retail or service environment – Preferred
- Keyboarding and data-entry experience – Required
