Position Overview
Emerging Blue is building a pool of reliable, energetic individuals to support brands during High Point Market. Opportunities may include customer-facing showroom coverage, hands-on staging and setup, or a combination of both, depending on each brand's needs. Assignments, dates, and hours will vary by showroom.
Sales Floor & Showroom Support
- Welcome guests and help create a polished, engaging showroom experience
- Assist sales teams with customer flow, product questions, and general showroom needs
- Keep product displays, hospitality areas, and shared spaces organized and guest-ready
- Support light product replenishment, tidying, and other tasks as assigned
- Represent each brand with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a customer-first attitude
High Point University students with strong communication skills, professionalism, and an interest in sales, design, hospitality, or events are encouraged to apply.
Staging, Setup & Breakdown Support
- Move and arrange furniture, decor, and showroom products safely
- Assemble furniture and assist with hanging mirrors, artwork, and other non-hardwired decor
- Unpack, label, organize, pack, and palletize merchandise
- Assist with light cleaning and final showroom preparation
- Use basic hand and power tools safely; bring your own tools when requested for the assignment
What We're Looking For:
- Punctual, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced event environment
- Positive team player who can take direction and adapt as priorities shift
- Professional presentation and strong communication skills for customer-facing assignments
- Ability to lift and move heavy items safely for setup and breakdown assignments
- Prior retail, showroom, event, staging, moving, or handyman experience ispreferred
- Flexible availability during High Point Market, including potential weekday and weekend shifts
Compensation & Schedule
Pay: $20 per hour. Schedule: Temporary shifts based on brand needs before, during, and after Market. Specific dates, hours, duties, and any tool requirements will be confirmed for each assignment.
