This opportunity begins September 14th and extends through December 18th, offering a meaningful way to make a difference in the lives of young learners during a pivotal stretch of the school year.

Qualified candidates will bring their expertise to a dedicated special education team, providing targeted academic and behavioral support in a well-resourced environment.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Indiana Special Education Teacher Certification is required
  • Previous experience in a self-contained classroom preferred
  • Strong background working with middle school students, especially those with emotional disabilities
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to maintain structure and foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, implement, and adapt individualized instruction for students with emotional disabilities
  • Develop and carry out IEP goals, collaborating with support staff and related service providers
  • Utilize evidence-based strategies to support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development
  • Track progress, maintain records, and communicate regularly with families and staff
  • Model patience, empathy, and resilience in fostering student growth and well-being
  • Participate in professional meetings and school-based teams as needed
