Special Education Teacher in Lakewood, OH

Take your expertise in special education to the next level as an Intervention Specialist and support students' success in a vibrant school environment. This contract opportunity is located near Lakewood, OH, with immediate openings, and runs through June 1, 2027. You'll work onsite, Monday through Friday, in a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week.

In this role, you’ll make a significant impact teaching and supporting students across a range of gradesPre-K, Kindergarten, and 10th Grade Matheach with diverse learning needs and on varied Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). You’ll join a collaborative, in-person team dedicated to empowering students with disabilities to reach their full potential.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist or Special Education Teacher license
• Previous experience developing and implementing IEPs
• Background supporting students with a variety of disabilities
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
• Flexibility to adapt strategies and approaches for different age groups and needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted instruction and customized learning interventions
• Track student growth, analyze outcomes, and modify instructional techniques as needed
• Prepare and maintain accurate records, including progress monitoring and compliance documentation
• Coordinate and collaborate with classroom teachers, related service staff, and families
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to a culture of special education excellence
