RN Clinical Educator

Role and Responsibilities

Under the direction of the department manager,the Clinical Educatoris responsible forassessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating an organized program across the footprint, for staff orientation and ongoing continuing education, directed toward the achievement of professional excellence and regulatory compliance. Works collaboratively with the department manager toprovidestandardized, effective, and efficient education across the footprint. Serves as the primary contact person for professional staff orientation.

Essential Functions

• Organize and overseeorientation fornew field-and office-basedstaff.
• Support the development of continuing education ofclinical and paraprofessionalstaff.
• Continually evaluate program effectiveness and relevancy.
• Participate in the development and teaching of classes/in-services hosted in person or through electronic learning management system.
• Organize andfacilitateclinical competency testing.
• Assistin coordination of HCR Preceptor program.
• Perform co-visits with field staff as needed.
• Track staff requirements for in-servicetraining.
• Provideorfacilitatetraining in a variety of different formats to meet the needs of field staff.
• Work closely withLHCSA managementand other agency personnel to coordinatehome health aideeducation across services.
