Job Description
We are looking for a Telecommunications Specialist to support advanced electronic and communications engineering efforts in Florida. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who can contribute to the design, analysis, testing, and documentation of sophisticated electrical and telecommunications-related systems while collaborating across engineering and manufacturing teams. The role calls for strong technical judgment, hands-on problem solving, and the ability to help drive product performance, reliability, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and refine complex electronic circuits, assemblies, and integrated system designs using sound engineering methods and practical testing approaches.
• Perform technical analysis through simulation, calculation, and modeling tools to validate design performance and support engineering decisions.
• Produce clear schematics and detailed engineering documentation to guide product development, manufacturing, and quality standards.
• Plan and execute laboratory testing activities, interpret results, and provide technical guidance to engineers and other team members.
• Investigate product and process issues by applying risk assessment, failure analysis, and root cause evaluation to resolve defects and improve reliability.
• Partner with production teams to address system-level concerns, recommend design enhancements, and identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency.
• Maintain complete and accurate engineering records, reports, and supporting technical files throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead or coordinate technical assignments when needed, including organizing work, aligning resources, and supporting customer, supplier, or vendor communication.
• Assess materials, components, and manufacturing methods while preparing work instructions and supporting field testing or travel-based validation activities.• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline, or an equivalent combination of technical education and relevant experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with direct involvement in complex electronic system development.
• Minimum 5 years of experience using circuit simulation and computational analysis tools such as PSpice, Mathcad, MATLAB, or comparable platforms.
• Hands-on expertise in electronic design, modeling, analysis, integration, and testing of assemblies and system-level hardware.
• Strong knowledge of both analog and digital design principles, including interfaces, filtering, programmable logic, low-power techniques, communication protocols, and memory technologies.
• Experience with programmable logic platforms such as Altera or Xilinx, along with exposure to areas such as battery-powered systems, digital signal processing, magnetics, or RF design.
• Ability to create technical documentation, reports, cost estimates, and proposal inputs, along with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain required security clearance and have authorization to work in accordance with applicable organizational or governmental requirements.
