Cameron Recycling is looking for a dependable and experienced Welder to join our maintenance team. If you enjoy hands-on work, take pride in quality craftsmanship, and have experience working with heavy equipment or industrial fabrication, we'd love to hear from you!
As a Welder, you'll perform welding, fabrication, cutting, and repair work on scrap-processing equipment, trailers, containers, heavy machinery, and other metal structures in our recycling facility. Safety, teamwork, and attention to detail are essential to success in this role.
What You'll DoPerform welding, cutting, fabrication, and repair work on heavy equipment and structural components.
Inspect equipment and metal structures for wear, damage, and safety concerns.
Repair and reinforce trailers, scrap bins, machinery, and heavy equipment attachments.
Operate welding machines, plasma cutters, grinders, torches, and other fabrication tools safely.
Work closely with mechanics and equipment operators to identify repair needs.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
Assist with additional maintenance projects as assigned.
Required
Previous welding experience in an industrial, heavy equipment, manufacturing, fabrication, or scrap yard environment.
Ability to weld and fabricate heavy-gauge steel.
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to work independently.
Ability to read measurements and basic fabrication specifications.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Preferred
Two or more years of welding experience.
Experience repairing heavy equipment, trailers, structural steel, or scrap-processing equipment.
Experience operating plasma cutters, grinders, and cutting torches.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and work around heavy equipment for extended periods.
Ability to work in an industrial environment with dust, noise, vibration, moving machinery, and varying weather conditions.
Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toe boots, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, and welding helmet.
Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Saturdays: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Occasional emergency or on-call work may be required.
