The Cleanroom Technician assembles medical products and subassemblies in a highly regulated cleanroom environment, following standardized work instructions and strict quality procedures. This role sets up workstations, pulls components according to the Bill of Materials, and verifies that all completed work meets or exceeds quality and specification requirements. The technician maintains a safe, clean, and compliant work area while supporting production schedules and contributing to the delivery of high-quality healthcare products.

Responsibilities
  • Set up individual workstations by reading and interpreting assembly instructions, and gathering all required parts, tools, and materials.
  • Assemble subassemblies and finished products according to standardized work instructions to ensure consistent quality and compliance.
  • Verify product specifications by measuring and testing completed subassemblies and finished products using appropriate tools such as rulers and other measuring devices.
  • Follow all quality standards, work instructions, and documented procedures throughout the assembly process.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area by adhering to all procedures, rules, and regulations in the cleanroom environment.
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routings to support accurate assembly and production flow.
  • Pull and stage components according to the Bill of Materials to support released customer production schedules.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including documentation and reporting requirements.
  • Follow non-conforming product procedures by identifying, segregating, and reporting any products that do not meet specifications.
  • Support prototype and production builds as needed, ensuring adherence to all cleanroom and quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve issues, improve processes, and meet production goals.
  • Consistently apply strong attention to detail to minimize errors and ensure high-quality output.
Essential Skills
  • Previous manufacturing experience in a regulated or production environment.
  • Good job tenure, demonstrating reliability and commitment in prior roles.
  • Ability to read and follow detailed assembly instructions and standardized work procedures.
  • Basic understanding of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routings.
  • Ability to pull and organize components according to the Bill of Materials to support production schedules.
  • Hands-on assembly skills, including working with small components and materials.
  • Ability to use measuring tools such as rulers and other basic instruments to verify specifications.
  • Strong adherence to quality standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to comply with non-conforming product procedures and accurately identify products that do not meet specifications.
  • Comfort working in a cleanroom environment with strict cleanliness and procedural requirements.
  • Capability to maintain a safe and clean working environment by following all rules and regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.

Work Environment

This role is based in a cleanroom manufacturing environment that is highly regulated, temperature controlled, and maintained to very high cleanliness standards. Each technician has an individual assembly station within the larger manufacturing area. Due to strict cleanroom protocols, certain personal grooming and attire requirements apply: no fake nails, no nail polish, no fake eyelashes, and no makeup are permitted while on the production floor. Technicians must be comfortable wearing scrubs provided on-site, tennis shoes, hair nets, gloves, beard nets if needed, and face masks for the duration of their shift. The work involves standing or sitting at an assembly station, handling small components, and consistently following detailed procedures to ensure product quality and compliance.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dexter, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
