We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting operations at a growing client in Reading, Pennsylvania. This role is responsible for keeping financial records accurate, current, and well organized while helping maintain smooth processing across payables, receivables, and reconciliations. The ideal candidate brings strong QuickBooks experience and a dependable approach to managing routine accounting tasks and reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Record daily financial activity accurately and ensure accounting entries are completed on schedule.

• Handle supplier invoices, coordinate disbursements, and keep accounts payable documentation organized and up to date.

• Issue customer invoices, apply incoming payments, and monitor open balances to support timely collections.

• Reconcile bank activity on a regular basis and research variances to preserve accurate cash reporting.

• Maintain the general ledger and assist with month-end close by preparing supporting records and documentation.

• Review accounting information for accuracy and completeness, making corrections as needed and flagging issues when appropriate.

• Produce recurring financial reports that provide visibility into business performance and transaction activity.

• Enter and maintain accounting data in QuickBooks while ensuring records remain orderly and ready for review or audit.

• Demonstrated experience in bookkeeping with responsibility for day-to-day accounting transactions.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks for data entry, account maintenance, and financial record tracking.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable processes, including invoice handling and payment support.
• Experience managing accounts receivable, including billing, cash application, and follow-up on overdue balances.
• Ability to complete bank reconciliations accurately and investigate discrepancies effectively.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate and well-organized financial records.
