Purchase Order Specialist

Seeking Full-Time Purchase OrderSpecialist.

We are a family owned business covering the State of Indiana. Selling and Servicing Fire Equipment and Emergency Rescue Vehicles. This position plays a crucial role in managing procurement processes to ensure smooth and efficient purchasing operations. This position handles a medium volume of sales orders, and purchase orders, typically between 50 and 200 orders per month, and focuses on maintaining inventory accuracy and timely order processing.

Responsibilities

• Process customer sales orders accurately and timely
• Create, verify, and send purchase orders to suppliers accurately and timely
• Monitor order status and shipping dates to insure timely delivery of equipment
• Maintain inventory control to prevent shortages or overstock
• Provide administrative support for company sales representatives
• Manage purchase order records and ensure data accuracy
• Resolve discrepancies, fixing pricing errors, missing items, and damaged good with vendors
• Communicate effectively with vendors, sales staff, and customers
• Perform data entry related to purchasing and inventory activities

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing, customer service, accounts payable
• Proficient in MS office including Excel, Outlook, Quick Books Online
• Experience with Fishbowl Inventory Program Preferred
• Strong Attention to detail, time management, professional communication
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently
