Work Setting: In-person (All in office/field)

Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a Water/Wastewater project engineerfor our Rochester office. As part of our design and process teams, you will work on water and wastewater projects, including drinking water/wastewater/reuse treatment facility upgrades, conveyance systems, wellfields, stormwater management, water resources, and asset management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participation in the evaluation, planning, and design of water, wastewater, stormwater, reuse, and infrastructure projects
  • Supporting proposal development.
  • Mentor junior staff.
  • Coordination and collaboration with clients.
  • Coordination with internal technical specialists in all practice areas and discipline design professionals for project delivery.
  • Supporting projects to meet client expectations, budgets, and quality requirements.
  • Following internal Hazen processes to ensure quality delivery of engineering projects for clients.
  • Technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments on small to medium projects.
  • Performing planning, studies, design, and support of projects through design, construction, and operation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental, civil, chemical, or mechanical engineering
  • PE license
  • 5-12 years of experience in planning, design, or construction of water-related projects
  • Excellent communication skills, self-motivation, organization, and attention to detail
