Part-Time Assistant Teacher to join our team.
Position: Part-Time Assistant Teacher
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Part-Time
Location: Discovery Point Hamilton Mill
2380 Hamilton Mill Pkwy, Dacula, GA 30019
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom activities and routines
- Supervise children and maintain a safe, positive classroom environment
- Engage with children through play, conversation, songs, reading, and age-appropriate activities
- Assist with meals, snacks, diapering/toileting, and other daily care routines as needed
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom
- Follow classroom schedules and center policies
- Communicate professionally with teachers, management, children, and families
- Assist with transitions, playground time, and other classroom duties
- Complete required cleaning and closing responsibilities
- Follow all Georgia childcare licensing and center health and safety requirements
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Previous childcare or daycare experience is preferred
- Must be dependable and have reliable transportation
- Must be able to work consistently during the scheduled hours
- Must enjoy working with young children and be comfortable actively interacting with them throughout the day
- Must be able to work as part of a team and follow directions
- Must be willing to complete required background checks and childcare training
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred
