Location: Dallas, TX or Kansas City, MO

Schedule: Hybrid (1-3 Days Onsite per Week)

Pay Rate: $20-$25/hour (Can be flexible if you are looking for more)

Duration: 6+ Month Contract with Potential Extensions

About the Opportunity

Insight Global is seeking an Inventory Specialist to support a large-scale asset management initiative for a nationwide organization. This individual will play a key role in tracking, recovering, and coordinating the return of thousands of handheld devices currently deployed in the field. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable communicating with vendors and internal teams to ensure accurate inventory management and reporting.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Experience managing inventory, asset tracking, logistics, or equipment coordination processes

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Experience working with vendors, leasing companies, or third-party service providers

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook

• Ability to track progress, maintain accurate records, and manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience supporting mobile device inventories

• Experience with Zebra TC77 devices

• Experience with Brady CT70/Honeywell devices

Position Overview

As an Inventory Specialist, you will support a large asset recovery initiative involving approximately 4,000 handheld devices currently deployed across the field. Responsibilities include coordinating the collection and return of equipment, maintaining accurate inventory records, communicating with field personnel and third-party vendors, tracking device status and locations, and ensuring assets are properly processed and returned to leasing partners. You will also provide ongoing reporting updates and help identify discrepancies within the organization's asset management program. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to keep multiple workstreams organized while supporting a large-scale operational project.
