Position Overview:

The Unit Managersupports the Director of Nursing in overseeing the daily operations of the Nursing Department. This role plays a key part in planning, organizing, and directing nursing services in alignment with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures. Working closely with the Administrator, Medical Director, and Director of Nursing, the RN Unit Manager helps ensure the delivery of exceptional, high-quality resident care at all times.

• Oversee the daily operations of the nursing unit
• Manage and supervise a team of nurses
• Ensure that all nursing staff adhere to the policies and procedures of the facility
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Ensure that all nursing staff are properly trained and certified
• Oversee nutrition and weight loss programs, including implementation of appropriate interventions.
• Conduct quality assurance audits, including new admission compliance, narcotic control, and documentation review as assigned.
• Manage bowel management programs and related interventions for the unit.
• Support infection control and prevention initiatives for the unit.
