• Completion of “Introduction to the Child Care Profession” course
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Cleared background and fingerprint check
• Enrollment in the Wisconsin Registry at Level 3 or higher
• Some college coursework or credentials in Early Childhood Education
• Completion of required preservice and continuing education training hours
• Knowledge of Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards (WMELS)
• Ability to plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, nurturing learning environment for children
