Position Overview:

We areseekinga highly motivatedEngineer-in-Training (EIT)to join our engineering and construction team. This role provides hands-on experience in both office and field settings, working closely with engineers, project managers, and construction personnel. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to develop technical and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Engineering & Project Support

  • Facilitate and contribute to the development of project plans and designs.
  • Collaborate with the CADD Department to support project design and documentation.
  • Assist the Project Manager in setting projectobjectives, procedures, data collection methods, and performance benchmarks.
  • Create and manage testing protocols tomonitorproject performance and quality metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards and specifications through quality control and assurance practices.
  • Work collaboratively with the operations department toidentifyand resolve technical issues.
  • Perform other engineering-related duties as assigned.

Construction Support

  • Collaborate with the estimating department to understand and support bidding procedures.
  • Assistin preparing schedules and updates for construction activities;determinepersonnel and equipment needs.
  • Support project management tasks such as submittals, invoicing, project correspondence, and general coordination.
  • Assistwith material buyout, shop drawing reviews, and submittal processes.
  • Communicate schedule updates to supervisors and subcontractors; ensure timelines and requirements are met.
  • Assistwith subcontract drafting and subcontractor coordination.
  • Work closely withforemenand subcontractors tomonitorand document construction progress.
  • Perform construction observation and document work using Procore.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineeringor related field
  • EIT certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
  • 0–3 years of relevant engineering or construction experience
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Office and project management tools (e.g., Procore)
  • Basic understanding of construction processes and engineering design principles
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with AutoCAD or similar CADD software
  • Prior internship or co-op experience in engineering or construction
  • Familiarity with construction documentation and scheduling
