The Direct Care Counselor shall have direct responsibility for guidance and supervision to whom he/she is assigned including:
- Overseeing physical care in a group home setting
- Development of acceptable habits and attitudes
- Management of resident behavior
- Transport residents to various activities
- Administer medication as prescribed
- Ability to work with children diagnosed with mental health disorders
- Provide mentoring /counseling to the residents, as needed
- Attend meetings and trainings pertaining to the job duties
- The Direct Care Counselor must have:
- A valid driver's license
- Clean criminal background history
- A high school graduate
- Must be at least 26 years old
