Server

Athens Cooks is hiring front-of-house servers for the caf, tasting room, cooking classes, and private events.

• Provide table service: greet guests, take food and drink orders, run food and drinks, check back, and process payment.
• Help guests choose from the food and wine list.
• Use a handheld POS system.
• Set up, serve, clear, and reset for classes, tastings, dinners, and private events.
• Keep the dining area clean and ready for guests.
• Work with the kitchen and FOH manager during service and events.

• Restaurant, caf, wine-bar, retail, or other guest-service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable speaking with guests and working as part of a small team.
• Friendly, outgoing personality
• Able to stay organized during busy service.
• Willing to learn the food and wine list and ask when an answer is not known.
• Weekend availability required; some evening event shifts.

Regular caf hours are currently 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Classes typically run between 7 pm and 10 pm. This is an on-site position at Athens Cooks, 100 Prince Avenue in Athens, Georgia.

Compensation will be discussed with qualified candidates.
