Machine Operator
Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 11pm - 7:30am NIGHTS

Job Overview

Develops skills in basic tasks, techniques and procedures. Applies basic knowledge and skills to complete routine tasks consisting of prescribed steps. Has basic training in an operational process area. Works within clearly defined SOPs and adheres to quality guidelines. Works with a high degree of supervision and has minimal discretion.

Responsibilities and Duties

oManually packages kits

oPerforms cleaning functions

oTests / Inspects parts for in-process quality checks

oTrains others

oAccurately completes paperwork

oPulls raw material for order

oFeeds raw material on production line

oClears some common machine faults

oPerforms some set up and start up tasks for the machine

oPerforms some shut down tasks for the machine

oOffers some input for Standard Operating Procedures

oPerforms few controls and adjustments for machine settings

oDemonstrates the ability to follow and document in established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

oMust follow all housekeeping policies and procedures

oMust follow all safety policies and procedures

oMust be able to work overtime as required to meet business requirements

oPerform other duties as required

Qualifications

Minimum Education/Experience:

oHigh school degree

o1 year manufacturing experience

Minimum Requirements:

oAbility to stand for long periods of time

oAbility to lift 40 lbs

oAbility to do repetitive motion

Basic Skills:

oCan effectively work in a team setting and communicate successfully across the department

oStrong attention to detail

Proficient/Working Skills:

oMust be proficient in English with the ability to read, write, analyze/evaluate charts, follow simple diagrams and perform basic arithmetic

oBasic proficiency with PCs (Personal Computers) and basic use of a Windows environment is required
