POSITION OVERVIEW
Responsible for operating the Press Brake Machines and supporting the production team by assembling parts, operating machinery, and punching or sawing of metal products. Produces a variety of parts, all of which must meet the dimensional specifications of the mechanical engineered drawings.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operatethepressbrakeandothermachineryusedintheproductionprocess,orassistothermachine operators.
- Selectproperpunchesanddiesbasedonmaterialthicknessandtype.
- Setuptooling,loadprogramsandsetmachineparameterstoensureoptimalperformanceofthe equipment.
- Determineiftoolsareundamagedandinsafeconditionforuse.
- Workinafast-pacedenvironmentwithfastchangingpriorities.
- Keepworkareacleanandorganized.
- Followallcompanyrulesandpolicies.
- Followallsafetyrulesandqualitystandards.
- Provideagreatlevelofattentiontodetailandfocusonthegiventask.
- Workwithteammemberstomaximizeproductivityandefficiency.
- Operatemachineryusedintheproductionprocess,orassistmachineoperators.
- UpholdallISOandOSHAstandardsapplicabletotheresponsibilitiesabove.
- Consistently produce usable product that meets the dimensional specifications of the mechanical engineered drawings.
EDUCATION & TRAINING
High School Diploma or GED Required
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- 2+yearsofexperienceoperatingapressbrakemachinepreferred.
- Solidbackgroundworkingwithsheetmetal.
- Knowledgeoftoolingandtoolmaintenance.
- Provenmeasurementandmathematicalfraction/decimalconversionskills.
- AbilitytodistinguishmaterialtypesincludingGalvanizedandStainlessSteel.
- Abilitytofollowwrittenandverbalinstructions,multi-taskandprioritizeinaneffectiveway.
- Mustbeastrongteamplayer.
- Abilitytoworkunsupervisedorwithminimalsupervisionwhilemeetingallproductqualityrequirements.
- Ability to read a tape measure and caliper.
- Ability to read blueprints and requires knowledge of engineered specified tolerances.
- Ability to Stand and Walk 8 Hours/Day
