Press Brake Operator - 1st Shift
Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

Responsible for operating the Press Brake Machines and supporting the production team by assembling parts, operating machinery, and punching or sawing of metal products. Produces a variety of parts, all of which must meet the dimensional specifications of the mechanical engineered drawings.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operatethepressbrakeandothermachineryusedintheproductionprocess,orassistothermachine operators.
  • Selectproperpunchesanddiesbasedonmaterialthicknessandtype.
  • Setuptooling,loadprogramsandsetmachineparameterstoensureoptimalperformanceofthe equipment.
  • Determineiftoolsareundamagedandinsafeconditionforuse.
  • Workinafast-pacedenvironmentwithfastchangingpriorities.
  • Keepworkareacleanandorganized.
  • Followallcompanyrulesandpolicies.
  • Followallsafetyrulesandqualitystandards.
  • Provideagreatlevelofattentiontodetailandfocusonthegiventask.
  • Workwithteammemberstomaximizeproductivityandefficiency.
  • Operatemachineryusedintheproductionprocess,orassistmachineoperators.
  • UpholdallISOandOSHAstandardsapplicabletotheresponsibilitiesabove.
  • Consistently produce usable product that meets the dimensional specifications of the mechanical engineered drawings.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

High School Diploma or GED Required

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • 2+yearsofexperienceoperatingapressbrakemachinepreferred.
  • Solidbackgroundworkingwithsheetmetal.
  • Knowledgeoftoolingandtoolmaintenance.
  • Provenmeasurementandmathematicalfraction/decimalconversionskills.
  • AbilitytodistinguishmaterialtypesincludingGalvanizedandStainlessSteel.
  • Abilitytofollowwrittenandverbalinstructions,multi-taskandprioritizeinaneffectiveway.
  • Mustbeastrongteamplayer.
  • Abilitytoworkunsupervisedorwithminimalsupervisionwhilemeetingallproductqualityrequirements.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and caliper.
  • Ability to read blueprints and requires knowledge of engineered specified tolerances.
  • Ability to Stand and Walk 8 Hours/Day
  • Lifting up to 50 Lbs.
  • Bending, Reaching, Turning, Twisting, Kneeling

1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
