Multiple openings are available for full-time (35 hrs/week) and part-time (14-21 hrs/week) SLPs, and flexible scheduling allows you to combine part-time positions for a full-time role. Choose from several supportive campuses in both Port St. Lucie and Ft. Pierce, working with diverse student caseloads from PK resource therapy through 8th grade. You'll collaborate with dedicated educational staff and other SLPs, making a tangible difference in students' communication skills and academic success.
Qualifications & Desired Background:
- Active Florida Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required
- Previous experience in school-based SLP settings highly recommended
- Comfortable working with a range of ages (PK-8th, depending on campus assignment)
- Ability to manage your caseload independently and work collaboratively within school teams
- Must complete district fingerprint requirements (can be expedited if previously cleared in the AHCA clearinghouse)
- Willingness to be on-site and collect district-issued badge prior to start
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide evidence-based speech and language services for assigned students
- Develop and implement IEPs in conjunction with educators and families
- Document progress and maintain detailed, up-to-date records
- Partner with teachers and special education teams to support students' success
