Special Education Teacher - New Oxford, Pennsylvania

Make a meaningful difference supporting students in a specialized setting focused on Autistic Support. Two onsite Special Education Teacher opportunities are available in a contract role for the upcoming school year, with assignments running ASAP through May 27, 2027. This role provides instructional leadership and support for students in classrooms equipped with dedicated PCA support, encouraging academic and personal growth.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania teaching certificate in Special Education (required)
• Experience working in Autistic Support or similar specialized learning environments preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork with PCAs and school staff
• Ability to adapt lessons and instructional strategies to meet individualized goals

Responsibilities:

• Create, implement, and adapt individualized education plans tailored to student needs
• Develop an engaging and supportive learning environment that fosters social, educational, and emotional progress
• Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals (PCAs), related service providers, and other educators
• Monitor, record, and report student progress; maintain detailed documentation in compliance with state standards
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development as needed

This contract runs during school hours, Monday through Friday, from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM, providing stability and consistent support to the student community throughout the academic year.
