USA TODAY NETWORK is hiring dependable Part-Time Mailroom Inserters for our production facility in Des Moines, Iowa.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced production environment. We offer $18.00 per hour, 30+ hours per week, and a $250 sign-on bonus.

Our facility operates seven days a week, so candidates must have scheduling flexibility. Start times and workdays may vary based on production needs.

What You'll Do:

As a Mailroom Inserter, you will help prepare newspaper products for packaging and distribution. Responsibilities include:

• Feed preprinted materials into inserting machine hoppers accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor inserting equipment to prevent double inserts, skips, and other production errors.
• Remove completed bundles weighing approximately 10–50 pounds and stack them neatly for the next stage of production.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area by removing paper, skids, and other production debris.
• Assist with other production and mailroom duties as assigned.
• Follow all company safety procedures while working around production equipment.

What We're Looking For:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Dependable with a strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to regularly lift, carry, move, and stack newspaper products weighing approximately 10–50 pounds.
• Ability to adjust to changing work assignments and production needs.
• Flexible availability, including varying start times and workdays.
• Comfortable working around forklifts, pallet jacks, inserting machines, and other production equipment.
