Position Summary

Yellow Jacket Maintenance Services is hiringPlumbersto perform service, repair, and installation work across residential and multi-family (HOA/condo) properties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performplumbing service and repair(leaks, fixtures, piping, drains, water heaters, shutoffs, etc.)
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues inresidential and multi-unit buildings
  • Completepreventative maintenance and general repairs(drywall, carpentry, minor electrical, etc.)
  • Respond towork orders and service callsacross multiple properties
  • Communicate withproperty managers, dispatch, and residentsregarding scope and updates
  • Ensure compliance withlocal plumbing codes, safety standards, and company procedures
  • Document work completed, materials used, and time via work order system
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle (if applicable)
  • Participate in arotating on-call schedulefor after-hours/emergency service

Requirements

What You’ll Need

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years ofplumbing, maintenance technician, or handyman experience
  • Experience withservice-based plumbing (not just new construction)
  • Ability totroubleshoot and resolve issues independently in the field
  • Experience withdrain cleaning, water heater service, and plumbing fixture repair or installation
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly (75–100 lbs occasionally)
  • Strong communication andcustomer service skills
  • Basic understanding ofplumbing systems, codes, and best practices
  • English proficiency
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
  • Availability to participate in a rotating on-call schedule that alternates every week
  • If you do not hold a Chicago Plumbing License or apprentice status, 5+ years of plumbing experience is required

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

  • Chicago Plumbing License or Apprentice experience
  • Experience working inresidential, apartment, condo, or HOA environments
  • Sewer work experience
  • Multi-trade experience (electrical, HVAC basics, carpentry)
  • Experience usingwork order / dispatch software
