Vector Talent Solutions is a veteran-owned workforce solutions firm dedicated to helping organizations identify, attract, and hire top talent. We are currently seeking an Electrical Field Inspector for a client in the construction industry.

The Electrical Field Inspector will provide field inspection support for electrical installations, ensuring compliance with project drawings, specifications, safety standards, and applicable electrical codes. This role works closely with project management, quality teams, subcontractors, and field personnel to support successful project execution and electrical system turnover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect electrical rough-in, conduit, wiring, panel installations, grounding, bonding, and related systems to verify compliance with project specifications and applicable electrical codes.
  • Review and interpret electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, panel schedules, and technical documentation to ensure installation accuracy.
  • Verify equipment labeling, terminations, connections, and electrical components meet design and safety requirements.
  • Witness and document electrical testing activities, including continuity, insulation resistance (megger), and other required pre-energization tests.
  • Document inspection findings, deficiencies, corrective actions, and field observations using company reporting procedures and quality control documentation.
  • Coordinate with electrical subcontractors, superintendents, engineers, and quality personnel to schedule inspections and support project milestones.
  • Track punch-list items and verify completion of corrective actions prior to project turnover.
  • Maintain organized inspection records, technical logs, and project documentation.
  • Support project teams in identifying and resolving installation issues while maintaining compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Perform additional inspection, reporting, and project support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; equivalent industry experience may be considered.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, one-line diagrams, and panel schedules.
  • Working knowledge of electrical installation practices, construction methods, and National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively with contractors, project teams, and inspectors.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in an active construction environment.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and project compliance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of electrical inspection, quality control, field engineering, or related construction experience.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT), ICC Electrical Inspector Certification, Journeyman Electrician License, or Master Electrician License preferred.
  • Experience supporting large-scale commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.

Work Environment

This position is primarily based in active construction project environments and may require frequent site walks, inspections, climbing stairs and ladders, and work around energized or energized-adjacent electrical equipment. Limited office work will be required for reporting and documentation.
