Master Carpenter – Commercial Interiors
Location: Independence, Ohio

We are an established commercial construction and real estate development company seeking an experienced Carpenter to lead and perform high-quality commercial interior construction projects. The ideal candidate is a craftsman who takes pride in precision, quality workmanship, and solving complex construction challenges while working independently and leading others when needed.
Our projects include commercial office build-outs, retail spaces, restaurants, medical offices, and tenant improvements.
Responsibilities
· Perform all phases of commercial interior carpentry from layout through final finish.
· Read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and construction documents.
· Construct and install:
o Metal stud framing
o Drywall backing and specialty framing
o Doors, frames, and hardware
o Acoustical ceilings
o Custom millwork and cabinetry
o Trim and finish carpentry
o Decorative wall systems
o Commercial fixtures and displays
· Install cabinetry, countertops, wall panels, and specialty finishes.
· Coordinate work with project managers, subcontractors, and other trades.
· Maintain high standards for safety, quality, and jobsite organization.
· Identify and solve field issues while keeping projects on schedule.
· Mentor apprentice and journeyman carpenters as needed.
· Ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
· Minimum 5 years of commercial carpentry experience.
· Proven experience with commercial interior build-outs and tenant improvements.
· Ability to read blueprints and architectural plans.
· Extensive knowledge of commercial construction methods and building codes.
· Skilled in layout, framing, finish carpentry, millwork installation, and hardware installation.
· Experience operating commercial carpentry tools and equipment.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship.
· Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
· Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
