Insight Global is seeking an experienced, hands-on Collision Center / Body Shop Manager to take full responsibility for the daily operation, profitability, production, estimating, customer service and administration of our collision repair department. This is a working manager position and is ideal for an experienced collision professional who is comfortable managing both the business and administrative side of a body shop. Our collision center operates with a one-person administrative structure. The Body Shop Manager is therefore responsible for the complete customer and administrative processfrom the customer’s initial contact and vehicle estimate through insurance communication, repair scheduling, production management, final billing and vehicle delivery. The manager will work directly with body and paint technicians, our dealership Parts Department, insurance companies and adjusters, customers, vendors and dealership management.

Required Skills & Experience

Previous automotive collision repair experience.

  • Strong working knowledge of the collision repair process from estimating through final delivery.
  • Experience writing collision estimates.
  • Strong understanding of insurance claims and supplement procedures.
  • Ability to supervise technicians and manage production workflow.
  • Strong customer-service and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to understand collision center financial statements and manage departmental profitability.
  • Comfortable working with computers, digital estimating systems and dealership management systems.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

  • CCC ONE estimating experience.
  • Previous collision center or body shop management experience.
  • Previous dealership collision center experience.
  • Chevrolet/GM collision repair experience.
  • Experience working with insurance companies and adjusters.
  • I-CAR training or certification.
  • ASE collision-related certifications.
  • Experience with OEM repair procedures, scanning and ADAS calibration requirements.
  • Experience using a dealership DMS; Auto/Mate experience is a plus.
