Housekeeping Supervisor

As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you’ll lead a team that plays an important role in cleanliness, infection prevention, and resident satisfaction.

• Supervise, support, and coordinate daily housekeeping staff and assignments

• Ensure resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas are clean and well-maintained

• Monitor the quality of housekeeping services throughout the facility

• Ensure cleaning schedules and department standards are consistently followed

• Train and assist team members with proper cleaning, sanitation, and infection-control procedures

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, disinfect, and maintain floors and surfaces as needed

• Ensure high-touch areas are properly disinfected

• Help maintain adequate housekeeping supplies and inventory

• Ensure trash and biohazard waste are handled according to proper procedures

• Assist with room turnover and special cleaning projects

• Report maintenance, safety, or environmental concerns promptly

• Communicate staffing and departmental concerns to management

• Promote a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment

• Respect resident privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times

• Previous housekeeping experience preferred

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred

• Healthcare, nursing home, or long-term care experience is a plus

• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean environment

• Dependable team player with a strong work ethic

• Ability to follow instructions and work independently

• Excellent organizational and communication skills
