Rocky Riveris seeking a full-timeActivity Directorto join our team. The ideal candidates must be devoted and compassionate about their chosen career. Theactivity directorwill have experience working with individuals with dementia, have a highly enthusiastic personality, and be able to develop creative activities for our residents.
Responsibilities of Activity Director:
- Develops, maintains, and coordinates a monthly program of events and programs
- Establishes and maintains on-going contacts with community organizations, churches, colleges, universities, cultural organizations, and other useful resources for program development.
- Recruits plan and manages volunteer opportunities for the community
- Manages, trains, and develops staff and volunteers
- Makes marketing presentations for community outreach efforts
- Works with marketing to assist in the planning of community/resident events
- Coordinates community outings to special events, lectures, for an active resident lifestyle
- One-to-one activities utilizing interpersonal needs to meet resident/client needs
- Projects a positive image of the organization in dealing with residents/clients, co-workers, and the public
Qualifications of Activity Director:
- At least one year of related experience
- A college degree required.
