They are looking to add an Accounting Clerk to their team who will play an important role in the day-to-day accounting operations. Accounting Clerk Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly/biweekly payroll accurately and timely, including maintaining employee records and resolving payroll-related questions
  • Process accounts payable invoices, including coding, data entry, approvals, and payment processing
  • Manage accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, cash receipts, account reconciliation, and follow-up on outstanding balances
  • Perform daily and monthly account reconciliations and assist with maintaining accurate general ledger records
  • Assist with month-end close activities and preparation of financial reports
  • Maintain organized and accurate accounting records and documentation
  • Respond to vendor and customer inquiries related to invoices, payments, and account balances
  • Assist with maintaining accounting schedules and supporting documentation
  • Identify discrepancies and independently research and resolve issues
  • Provide general accounting and administrative support to the accounting team as needed
  • Take on additional responsibilities as the organization continues to grow

  • 2+ years of accounting experience preferred
  • Previous experience with payroll, accounts payable, and/or accounts receivable
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong Excel and general computer skills
  • Excellent communication and follow-through
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in a hands-on environment
  • Resourceful problem solver with a "figure it out" mentality and the ability to learn new processes quickly
  • Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative member of the team
