The Diesel Truck Mechanic is an essential member of a small team, generally comprising 1-3 mechanics, and reports directly to the service manager. This role focuses on repair and maintenance of diesel trucks, including engine diagnostics, hydraulic and electrical system upkeep, and welding tasks. The mechanic utilizes standard workshop equipment and may occasionally provide on-site support. A strong emphasis on safety compliance and teamwork is maintained throughout all responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform diesel engine repair and diagnostics
- Conduct maintenance and troubleshooting of hydraulic and electrical systems
- Carry out welding and parts replacement as needed
- Ensure safety compliance during all repair and maintenance activities
- Use standard workshop tools and equipment efficiently
- Support occasional travel to job sites for on-site repairs
- Collaborate effectively within a small mechanic team
