Position Summary

Social Media Specialist will be responsible for the weekly email and all social media posts.

In addition, they will assist with making copies of media posters and posting.

The job will consist of some office work, answering phones, preparing sanctuary, making copies, and other jobs the Rector needs.This is a part-time job with weekly hours averaging around 15.

It is also an on-site job, Monday-Thursday, 9-12. Some of these hours can be flexible and worked remotely.

Primary Responsibilities

Technology

• Graphic design experience (such as Canva) for media.
• Create weekly email
• Update online calendars.
• Manage email distribution lists.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.
• Photography and media skills needed for all publications
• Create a Facebook account and promote Messiah
• Youtube experience
• Maintain church database.

Office Administration

• Manage office supplies and equipment.
• Schedule facility usage.
• Prepare meeting agendas.

Worship Support

• Pews set before each worship service.
• Hymn Board and other needed preparation for Worship

The Social Media Specialists will report directly to Rev. Kara Leslie.

The Rector has the authority to add or change job requirements as needed.
