This role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial food production equipment in a large, BRC-certified tortilla manufacturing facility. The Maintenance Engineer supports continuous production by keeping mixers, ovens, presses, packaging machinery, and conveyor systems operating safely and efficiently. The position requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, hands-on troubleshooting experience, and the ability to work overnight shifts with regular weekend coverage.

Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a large, BRC-certified food production facility that manufactures tortillas for national distribution. The plant operates extensive industrial equipment, including mixers, ovens, presses, packaging machinery, and multiple conveyor systems. The position is on third shift, working from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with every weekend scheduled and two days off provided during the week. The environment is spot climate controlled, but as a bakery, temperatures can be warm, averaging around 85°ree;F and reaching up to 110°ree;F in some areas. The culture is people-focused, with strong collaboration between maintenance, production, and sanitation teams, and a positive attitude considered a key part of success. Personal protective equipment is required, including steel-toe boots in the manufacturing areas, and employees are expected to follow all safety, sanitation, and food-safety standards while working around industrial machinery.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
