HVAC Service Tech

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. This role requires a thorough understanding of HVAC systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing top-notch customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation & Maintenance:
  • Install new HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, and ventilation units.
  • Conduct regular maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Repair:
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in HVAC systems and equipment.
  • Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components, including compressors, motors, and electrical controls.
• Customer Service:
  • Provide exceptional customer service, explaining technical issues in an understandable manner.
  • Offer recommendations for system upgrades and energy-efficient solutions.
• Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and customer interactions.
  • Complete work orders and service reports in a timely manner.
• Compliance:
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

• Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an HVAC training program preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC service and repair.

• Licensing & Certifications:

  • Valid HVAC technician certification and/or relevant licenses.
  • EPA certification for handling refrigerants.

• Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and components, electrical systems, and refrigeration.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.

• Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments (attics, basements, outdoor settings).
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.
