Machinist
Automation Personnel Services is looking for aMachinistfor a company based inDecatur,AL.In this role, you will have the opportunity tomanufacture precision components, operate advanced machining equipment, and contribute toproducinghigh-quality products.
Pay Rate
$24.00 or more per hour based on experience
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday,300pm to1130 pm.
Sunday through Thursday, 11 00 pm to 7 30 am.
MachinistDuties and Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools,including lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses.
- Select and install all appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machine settings.
- Troubleshootmachining issues and perform minor machine repairs and maintenance.
- Collaborate with fabricators, welders, engineers, programmers, and supervisors to complete projects on schedule.
- Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
MachinistQualifications and Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Blueprint reading and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Physical strength and stamina to lift and move heavyup to 50 pounds.
- Minimum of 1 year machining experience preferred, 2-5 years of related experience.
