Shipping, Receiving & Production Associate

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable, hardworking individual to join our team as aShipping, Receiving & Production Associate. This is a hands-on, physical/manual labor position involving shipping and receiving, material processing, and production assembly.

The ideal candidate has some prior experience in a warehouse or production environment or is motivated and willing to learn. We are looking for someone who is dependable, stays productive throughout the workday, follows instructions, and takes pride in doing quality work.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

Shipping & Receiving

  • Load and unload trucks.
  • Receive, organize, and move materials throughout the facility.
  • Prepare materials and products for shipment.
  • Inspect materials for quantity, condition, and accuracy.
  • Operate a tow motor/forklift as needed(experience preferred but not required; willing to train).

Material Processing & Production

  • Process various materials for production.
  • Perform material processing tasks including:
    • Slitting
    • Saw cutting
    • Hot-wire cutting
  • Perform hot-melt assembly.
  • Operate a die-cutting press after appropriate training.
  • Properly distinguish and identify different materials.
  • Follow production requirements and specifications.

Reading & Measurement Skills

  • Read and understand work orders.
  • Read and follow assembly drawings.
  • Understand and follow packing instructions.
  • Distinguish between different materials and material types.
  • Read and accurately use tape measures and calipers.
  • Understand and work with fractions and decimals.
  • Follow measurements, dimensions, and production specifications accurately.

Qualifications & Expectations

  • Some warehouse, manufacturing, production, or related experience are preferred, buta willingness to learn is more important.
  • Must be willing to learn new equipment, processes, and production tasks.
  • Dependable and punctual with reliable transportation.
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to stay busy and productive throughout the workday.
  • Comfortable performing repetitive and physically demanding tasks.
  • Must be willing to work as part of a team and assist where needed.
  • Must bring lunch and be prepared for the full workday.
  • Cell phone use is not permitted during working hours except as authorized or in an emergency.
  • Must maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.

Physical Requirements

This is aphysical/manual labor position. The employee must be able to:

  • Stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Bend, reach, lift, carry, push, and pull materials.
  • Load and unload trucks.
  • Handle and process materials throughout the workday.
  • Safely operate production equipment after training.
  • Perform repetitive manual tasks as required.
  • Able to lift 60-70 pounds.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is reliable, hardworking, mechanically inclined, and willing to learn. Previous experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person who demonstrates a strong work ethic, good attendance, and a willingness to learn and take direction.
