Scrap Yard Laborer

Job Duties

• Sorting Metals: Separating ferrous (iron/steel) and non-ferrous (copper/aluminum) items by grade.
• Sorter: Sorts incoming metals, cleans the yard, and breaks down parts.
• Material Handling: Loading and unloading trucks using hand tools, pallet jacks, or forklifts.
• Yard Maintenance: Cleaning debris, organizing stacks, and assisting equipment operators.

Requirements

• Physical Fitness: Ability to lift up to 70 Ibs. repeatedly and stand for long shifts.
• Outdoor Work: Tolerance for working in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
• Safety Focus: Mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE) like steel-toe boots and hard hats.
