About the Job:
Randall's Restaurant is looking for an experienced Fine DiningServer to join our front-of-house team.
Responsibilities:
- Complete knowledge of our food and bar menus, with the expertise to make suggestions.
- Take food and drink orders from customers accurately and with a positive and friendly demeanor.
- Engage with customers in a professional manner.
- Enter orders accurately into POS terminals for transmittal to kitchen staff.
- Ensure tables are enjoying their visit and troubleshoot as needed.
- Collect payments from tables.
- Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes.
- Help food preparation staff when necessary.
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will have knowledge of fine dining service, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well under pressure with FOH and BOH staff.
- Previous food service work experience involving customer service in a fast-paced environment is required for consideration.
- The position is part-time and includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements:
- Fine dining experience, providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of all menus and terminology.
- Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised.
- Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system.
- Ability to stand for 5+ hours and carry heavy trays of food.
Work Setting:
- The position is part-time. Must report by 3:00 pm.
- Open regularly from Tuesday-Saturday (4:00 pm).
- Private events may be booked outside our normal business hours.
- Weekend and holiday availability is both expected and required for consideration.
