Job Summary:
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations through accurate inventory counts, receiving and organizing truck deliveries, loading and unloading materials, and assisting with general facility maintenance. This role helps maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse while ensuring products, equipment, and supplies are properly handled and readily available for team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform regular inventory counts and assist with cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels.
Receive, inspect, and organize incoming truck deliveries, verifying items against packing slips or purchase orders.
Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently using proper lifting techniques and available equipment.
Stock, label, rotate, and organize inventory in designated warehouse areas.
Pull, stage, and prepare materials, parts, products, or supplies for team members, service crews, and customer orders as needed.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse, yard, and storage areas.
Assist with general facility maintenance, including cleaning, trash removal, organizing work areas, and reporting maintenance or safety concerns.
Follow company procedures for safe handling, storage, and disposal of products, tools, and equipment.
Communicate inventory shortages, damaged items, delivery discrepancies, or supply needs to the appropriate manager.
Operate warehouse equipment only when properly trained and authorized.
Collaborate with team members to support timely, accurate, and efficient warehouse operations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education
High school diploma or GED; preferred
Experience
Warehouse, inventory, shipping/receiving, or related experience; preferred
Experience loading and unloading deliveries; preferred
Technical Skills
Ability to accurately count, track, and organize inventory; required
Basic computer or inventory system skills; preferred
Basic understanding of pool supplies, equipment, chemicals, or parts; preferred
Forklift certification; required
Valid driver’s license; required
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, climb, push, and pull throughout the workday
Ability to lift and carry heavy items as required for warehouse operations
Ability to safely load and unload trucks and move materials within the facility
Ability to work in warehouse, yard, and storage areas with varying temperatures and conditions
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks safely and accurately
Safety Requirements:
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and training requirements always.
Wear required personal protective equipment, including gloves, eye protection, and other PPE as directed for the task.
Use proper lifting techniques and request assistance or equipment when moving heavy or awkward items.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment only when properly trained, certified, and authorized.
Safely handle, store, label, and dispose of chemicals, pool supplies, tools, and equipment according to company procedures and applicable safety guidelines.
Keep aisles, exits, loading areas, and workspaces clean and free of hazards.
Immediately report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, spills, injuries, near misses, or safety concerns to a manager.
Comply with safe driving, delivery, loading dock, and facility access procedures when applicable.
Working Conditions:
Primarily warehouse, yard, and facility-based work with exposure to indoor and outdoor conditions
Pay Type:
Hourly; based on qualifications
Position Type:
Full-Time: Monday – Friday; 7:30-5:00 (schedule may vary based on season, staffing, etc.)
Occasional nights or weekends; emergency situations only
