Substitute Staff

CIFC's Danbury Early Learning Programs (HEAD START & SCHOOL READINESS) is seeking hourly / per-shift Substitute Staff to join our Danbury/Norwalk programs.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Day shift
• Flexible schedule
• On call
• 8 hour shift

Substitute Staff are responsible for maintaining routines, curriculum, meals, and activities for children (ages 6 weeks-5 years old) under the direction of the Substitute Coordinator and a daily classroom Teacher.

Requirements

Successful candidates possess:

• Have some childcare or preschool experience; and/or
• Motivated candidates do not require experience;
• A high school diploma or GED equivalence (preferred);
• Are 18 years or older;

Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged to apply.

Health Requirements:

• Ability to lift 40 lbs.
• Recent documentation free of communicable diseases (i.e. TB and COVID); and
• Recent fit for duty examination.
