Title: Maintenance Planner Lead

Location: Orange, TX

Job Description The Maintenance Planner Lead develops comprehensive job packages to support the safe, efficient, and effective execution of maintenance work. This role translates work order scopes into detailed plans that identify required labor, materials, tools, equipment, procedures, and services. The position requires advanced technical knowledge and may provide subject matter guidance and coordination to other team members.

Key Responsibilities

Develop detailed maintenance job packages based on work order scope, including required labor, materials, tools, equipment, and services.

Review work orders for technical completeness and return incomplete work orders to the appropriate gatekeeper for correction.

Conduct field checks as needed to validate job scope and planning requirements.

Incorporate feedback from maintenance personnel to improve and optimize work plans.

Enter and maintain job plans and required resources in the Global Engineering and Maintenance Tracking System (GEMTS).

Identify task activities and resources necessary to safely and effectively execute maintenance work.

Identify and incorporate applicable safety information, requirements, and hazard assessments into job packages.

Ensure job packages comply with the Maintenance Procedure Use Policy, including required procedures or applicable procedure exemptions, before release.

Review Maintenance Procedures to ensure required hazard assessments are included.

Serve as a technical resource during the development and review of maintenance procedures.

Create, develop, revise, and update job procedures, checklists, and related documentation.

Initiate Management of Change (MOC) processes for procedures when required.

Provide technical guidance and coordinate work with others as needed.

Required Qualifications

Associate’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience in maintenance, manufacturing, or a related discipline.

2–5 years of relevant maintenance planning or hands-on maintenance experience preferred.

Strong understanding of maintenance processes, procedures, and systems.

Ability to develop detailed work plans and job packages from maintenance work orders.

Strong technical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently while providing technical guidance to others.

Additional Information

This is a true Maintenance Planner role focused on maintenance planning and job package development.

Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) experience is not required.

Equivalent hands-on experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
