Kitchen Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the overall operation of the kitchen in the absence of the Kitchen manager, oversee receiving of produce, linen and any items needed for the overall smooth operation of the kitchen. Will ensure preparation of non-cooked food items and cleanliness of the kitchen and ensure that timeliness of meals and plate presentation represents that of the highest quality and standards. Oversees that staff is working effectively and efficiently. Ensure proper operation of kitchen equipment and assist in the quality of service given to our guests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Communicate, adhere to and model the MVPs and DOS of OHL
• Supervise kitchen staff in the absence of the Kitchen Manager
• Perform kitchen duties such as food preparation, storage, overseeing the cleanliness of the kitchen, ensure quality and count of products bought from vendors, making recommendations of products needed and responsible for doing physical
• Ensures daily compliance with daily
• Perform customer service duties such as greeting guests, answering guest's questions, resolving guest complaints and ensuring special meal requests are processed.

SUPERVISORY DUTIES:

• Oversees delivery of produce, linens and any other items delivered that are needed for the overall smooth operation of the kitchen.

EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or general education degree: or 3 years related kitchen/food prep experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of experience and education.

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 1 year related experience in preparation of food in the food service
• Minimum of 1 year experience with kitchen procedure and commercial kitchen
• Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience in a food service

Work Environment:

This position requires the employee to be able to work on any day of the week, including holidays, between the hours of 6 AM to 9 PM.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and at times high.
