About the Role: Choate Engineering Performance LLC is looking for a motivated CNC
Assistant/Apprentice to join their team in Bolivar, TN! This is a fantastic opportunity to learn the craft of CNC machining from the ground up in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:- Assist CNC machinists and operators with daily machining operations and production tasks
- Learn to set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines under the guidance of experienced staff
- Support quality control by inspecting finished parts for accuracy and conformance to specifications
- Help with loading and unloading raw materials and finished components
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with shop standards
- Assist with basic machine maintenance and tooling changes
- Follow blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders as directed
Requirements:- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Interest in CNC machining, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn precision machining techniques
- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints or technical drawings is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player with a positive attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
