The Shop Supervisor will manageday to dayoperations of a Class 8 maintenance shop. The roleis responsible forworking with all shop team members on their development within the shop andensureall shop policies and procedures arebeing followed.
Responsibilities
- Determineschedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, quantity of equipment, and skill ofpersonnel
- Perform team member evaluations based on companyschedule
- Manage and develop shop teammembers
- Ensure shop policies and procedures are beingfollowed
- Ensure best practices are being followed by shop team members forrepairs
- Open and close repair orders asneeded
- ?Recommend or initiate personnel actions, such as hires, promotions, transfers, discharges, or disciplinarymeasures
- Assign work to shop teammembers
- Order inventory for shop based onguidelines
- Receive and stock inventory for small partsroom
- Perform repairs on class 8equipment
- Inspect, test, and measure completed work, using devices such as hand tools or gauges to verify conformance to standards or repairrequirements

Education/Experience
